on the road!!

we're really doing it, Har!
anyway, we did it, we're on the road. just left chicago and now we're in the middle of illinois in a travel america parking lot frantically working on all three laptops trying to update all our stuff! we will have new podcasts up in a matter of minutes, gabe is working on it right now! so go to gabeandjessa.com and listen to us! hopefully we'll have pics up in a little while too!
so, we had the best day in chicago yesterday!!! oh my gosh, i felt like we owned the city! maybe we did.... but, gabe and i flew around on the little people scooter in downtown chicago for a few hours yesterday... it was so awesome! justin and jesse followed us on bikes, right on the road!! it was so crazy!!! we met the guitar player from Funeral for a Friend in front of Barnes and Noble later on and told us that they were playing in chicago at the house of blues that night with Anberlin, He is Legend and Story of the Year. so, we checked it out and bought some tix. the show was AMAZING! anberlin and he is legend were so incredible! gosh, it was so awesome! Funeral for a friend kicked it amazing style, and Story of the Year had the coolest show ever! just an awesome day. we paid for parking downtown chicago, right on State St. and it was for 24 hours, so we slept downtown last night and now we're here in the middle of nowhere illinois, heading for st. louis. we'll make it down to dallas soon, but we're not in a rush. anyway, gotta go, only have a few minutes on this thing, and we'll be hittin the road again! love you all, and please keep in touch, we love to hear what's going on wit chew!!! laters!

the countdown begins...

OK, I just sold my 2000 black Dodge Neon that I've had since I turned 16 years old. It is kind of a sad day... maybe I'll feel it more when I wake up tomorrow and don't have a car to drive... and maybe I'll really feel it in 3 months when I finally realize I'll never ever see that car, much less drive it, again. I know I am the sentimental type, but right now, I just don't care that much. We needed the money for our trip and we don't need an extra car...
Another goodbye...
I was walking with Rachelle last night, and we found tons of toads hopping across the road. Every time I saw one, I would pick it up and put in the grass of a nearby house ( I guess I'm an animal rights person, I don't know) But we found one that was just so cute and small, and I think he was really talking to me... maybe not... but I really like him for some reason, and not the others. So, I picked him up, figuring, we already have a turtle as a pet, so why not give him a friend. But, he was scared all day today, and so I let him go tonight... very sad... his name was Austin ( our turtle's name is Dallas).

people

Man, it is so good to have your best friends and partners in life around you to experience life with you!!! My experiences in life are so much more meaningful when I can share them with my husband, my family, and my friends.
I've been having a great week. Very experiential (is that a word?). I've been looking for things to experience. I bet alot of people around me haven't noticed anything different, but something has been different lately. Maybe I'm just experiencing it different, I don't know.

parallax - the apparent displacement of an object as seen from two different points that are not on the same line of sight.

What a good word!!!

ready, set..... go!

I've searched out many people that I admire, and realized that most of them use blogger to post their thoughts. I've always been a xanga person, but I think I'm going to have to switch just for the fact that it is used by more people.
Let me first tell you my game plan for the next few weeks/months. Gabe and I will be gearing up the next few weeks for a road trip. We have decided to take about 3 months and take a cross country road trip, in which we will be visiting: Portland, OR., Seattle, WA., L.A., CA., Las Vegas, NV., Cedar City, UT., Salt Lake City, UT., Phoenix, AZ., Albuquerque, NM., Dallas and Houston, TX., Kansas City, MO., and Minneapolis, MN. Those are just some of our stops so far, we are always adding stops, and I'm sure we will be during our trip also. We've bought a 1986 Chevy 350 Rockwood Frontier motorhome to live in for the next little while. We also have a vintage 1978 robin's egg blue Vespa. It's an Italian scooter that looks just awesome!!! I'll put some pictures up as soon as we have some. We have also been working on our website (gabeandjessa.com) and also our podcast (which Gabe will be hosting) so anyone can follow us on our trip.
I'll put some more information up as soon as I can about where we will be and when. Be looking out for us!!! We'll be in your city soon!!!
